Memorial service for Lucille I. Korth, 79, of Meadow Grove, will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at the St. John's Lutheran Church in Battle Creek. Rev. Joseph Leech will be officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m., Monday, also at the church. Lucille passed away on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at the Faith Regional Hospital in Norfolk. Lucille was born on February 18, 1944 in Norfolk, NE to Conrad and Elfrida (Buchholz) Klein. She graduated from Battle Creek High School in 1962 and was Salutatorian. She married Allen Korth on August 4, 1963 at St. Peters Lutheran Church, Rural Battle Creek. After marriage the couple lived northeast of Pierce for five years. They then moved to the family farm southwest of Battle Creek for 55 years. Lucille worked at Arkfeld Manufacturing, Craft Inc., and Don and Connie Geary for 26 years as a bookkeeper. Lucille enjoyed gardening and helping on the farm. She was a member at St. John's Lutheran Church, Battle Creek. Survivors include her husband Allen Korth of Meadow Grove, Sons Chad (Tara) Korth of Meadow Grove and Jay (Catherine) Korth of Jackson, TN, 7 grandchildren Tristan, Cameron, Gavin, Ali, Kyle, Elena, and Carlie, brother Leland Klein of Battle Creek, sisters Marilyn Lindner-Bombeck (Larry) of Grand Island, NE, and Lois (Joel) Rucks of Wisconsin Rapids, WI. She was preceded in death by her parents Conrad and Elfrida, sister Evelyn Joan Pavel, brother in-laws Stan Lindner and Ray Pavel, and sister in-law Sharon Klein.
