Henry Griffin Sr., 77, passed away on April 26, 2023, in Dallas, Texas. He was born on January 6, 1946, to Paul Griffin and Mildred (Kay) Griffin in Titus County, Texas. He is survived by his son, Gary and wife, Carrissa Griffin of Ft. Worth, Texas; son, Paul and wife Maryellen Griffin of Arlington, Texas; son, William and wife, Julia Griffin of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; daughter, Shellie Griffin of Omaha, Texas; grandchildren, Justin Griffin, Cameron Griffin, Hailey Griffin, Garrett Griffin, Kenneth Griffin, Gavin Griffin, and Corbin Griffin; two great-grandchildren; brother, Wallace and sister-in-law, Sandra Griffin of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; sisters, Ernestine Hess of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, Darlene Maloy of Texarkana, Texas, JoAnn Ellis of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, Janice and brother-in-law Burx Hargrove of Gilmer, Texas, Mary Jane Scarborough of Phoenix, Arizona; and numerous nieces and nephews. Henry was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Kenneth Griffin; and sister, Pauline Griffin. A service will be held at Bates-Cooper-Sloan Funeral Home on Monday, May 1, 2023 at 2:00 PM with a visitation an hour before the service. A burial will follow at Coopers Chapel Cemetery.
