Larry Ray Karasek, 77, of El Campo, passed away July 25, 2023. He was born on October 28, 1945 in East Bernard to the late Joe and Annie Hanzelka Karasek. Larry was an Army Veteran and worked for 27 years at Sears as a service technician. He is survived by his wife, Debbie Berkovsky Karasek of El Campo; daughter, Kim Kacal and Colin Creighton of Dallas; sons, Craig George and wife Samantha of Katy and Kevin George of Houston; grandchildren, Grant and Ellie George; sister, Geraldine Kirchner and husband Lee of El Campo; brother, Gene Karasek Sr. of East Bernard; sister-in-law, Janice Berkovsky of Houston; brothers-in-law, Larry Berkovsky and wife Margaret of Kingwood and Andy Berkovsky of Austin; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Larry was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Mary Ann Juranek Karasek. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, July 27 at Triska Funeral Home. A Rosary will be recited at 1:30 p.m. Friday July 28 at St. Philip Catholic Church with funeral Mass following at 2 p.m. Burial with military honors under the auspices of the American Legion Post 251 will follow at Holy Cross Memorial Park.
