Bio
John C. Vanecek Sr. of Georgetown, Texas, formerly of Taylor, died on Monday, April 21, 2008, at Seton Medical Center at the age of 87. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Pauline Vanecek; his daughter, Janie Mucha and husband Bobby of Georgetown; his son, Buddy Vanecek and wife Glynda of Taylor; also surviving are grandchildren, Michelle Jones and husband Turk, Brian Mikulencak and wife Christine, all of Georgetown, and Wendi Baldwin and husband Randy of Austin; five great-grandchildren, Justin and Kristin Jones, Halley Mikulencak, and Lauren and Ryan Baldwin. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, loved the New York Yankees and working crossword puzzles. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, at Condra Funeral Home with Pastor Jennifer Fuhr officiating. Burial was at Bartlett City Cemetery. Condra Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
