Bio

Ambrose was in the Civil War and fought for the Union army (49th Infantry, Co. G) in Kentucky with brothers Jesse and George. He married Nancy Jane Smith in Tennessee. In 1888, with the help of a land grant provided by the Houston, Texas and Central Railroad, Ambrose and family moved from Campbell county, TN to Scranton. He was the son of Ambrose and Lucinda Davis of Whitley, KY.
