Bio
Connie Sue Cooper Rother, passed on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at the age of 74 at Guadalupe Regional Medical Center. Connie was born on September 5, 1948 in Ganado, Texas to Clasin Levell and Syble Hadley Cooper. In 1965 Connie married Kenneth James Rother, and they settled in Gonzales, Texas where they raised a daughter and two sons. She loved to garden. Connie always lived life to the fullest, and was never at a loss for words. It never mattered where she was going or how long she would be there, she was not leaving without her makeup on point, wearing the highest of heels, loudest and brightest of colors, carrying the biggest purse she could find. Connie is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Beverly Filla; and grandson, Lane Rother. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Swanson and her husband, Harold of Lyons, Nebraska, their children, Amanda, Mallory, Harold, and Derek; son, Clyde Rother of New Braunfels, and children, Hunter, Bryson and Colt; son, Darrell Rother and wife Girly of East Molina, Illinois; and daughter, Fiona; seven great grandchildren; and sisters, Deborah Begay and husband Kelvin of Houston, Texas, Sandy Susil and husband Michael of Edna, Texas and Donna Irwin of Edna, Texas.
