Greenville Herald Banner, Sun, 14 Jul 1985, A3, Deaths, Lindsey Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Angie Lindsey, 81, of Greenville, are set for 2:30 p.m. today at the Coker-Mathews Funeral Home chapel. She died Friday at a Terrell nursing home. Rev. Russell Hancock will officiate. Burial will be in the Simmons Cemetery. She was born Nov. 11, 1903 in Tennessee [ sic ] to W.S. and Rodie Ellen Johnson Skaggs. She married Noah M. Lindsey on Aug. 26, 1917 in Greenville. The homemaker was a member of the United Pentecostal Church. Survivors include three sons, J.D. Lindsey of Greenville, W.M. Lindsey of Emory and Clarence W. Lindsey of Del Cambre, La.; three daughters, Mrs. Ellen Scroggins of Lone Oak, Mrs. Ruby Mize of West Tawakoni and Mrs. Pauline Blount of Terrell; three sisters, Mrs. Nora Byrum of Greenville, Mrs. Lucy McDaniel of Greenville and Mrs. Pearlie Joines of Baytown; 20 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, on March 31, 1977, two infant children, three brothers and a sister. Pallbearers will be Billy Lindsey, James Mize, Eddie Lindsey, Fred Willaby, Leon Willaby, Jimmy Willaby, Franklin Rachel and Bobby Rachel. Bio from John J Armstrong
