Gilmer Mirror Upshur co. Texas Dec 6, 1924 A.A. Rutledge Killed in Oklahoma Mr Arch Rutledge of Gilmer received a telephone message from Valliant, Okla. Friday night conveying the sad message his brother A. A.(Albert) Rutledge had been killed in a saw mill accident at that place Friday. Mr Rutledge was unable to get all of the details, but it was understood that his brother had been caught in a belt or a line shaft and was killed instantly. The late Mr. Rutledge was formerly a resident of Upshur County, having made his home at Bettie for many years and was greatly esteemed by all who knew whim. He was 46 years of age and is survived by his three children. Miss Olive Rutledge of Bettie and two sons elmer and Leon of Tulsa, Okla. as well as three brother and three sisters . Arch Rutledge of Gilmer , John Rutledge of Bettie and Chas Rutledge of Memphis, and Mrs Irene Davis of Wichita Falls, Mrs Clara Landsdale of Bettie and Mrs. M. J. Day of Milsap the funeral will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery Cunday afternoon. note Albert Andrew Rutledge was born August 24, 1874 to Nathan Franklin and Nancy P Davis Rutledge in Arkansas. He married Jennie Campbell Dec 17, 1893 . She preceded him in death in 1913
