Sarah Kopp was born in August 1810, in Dettwiller, Bas-Rhin, Grand Est, France. Her parents were Johann Michael Kopp (1767 - 1821) and Brigita Mossler (1783 France - 1826 Harrison Co., IN). She married Jacob Issac Hannel about 1833, in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. They were the parents of 7 children. She died on 6 June 1888, in Scott Township, Harrison County, Indiana, at the age of 77, and was buried in Harrison Township, Harrison County, Indiana.
