Lois Marie (Blundell) Kimbrell August 21, 1926 - June 3, 2023 McWhorter Funeral home Funeral Services for Lois Marie (Blundell) Kimbrell, will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, June 9, 2023, at McWhorter Funeral Home with Brother Wayne Norvell officiating. Interment will follow at 3:00 pm at Grove Hill Cemetery in Dallas, Texas. The family will receive friends 9:00 am – 10:00 am, prior to the service Our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great, great grandmother, Lois Marie Kimbrell, passed from this Earth on Saturday, June 3, 2023. She was a lovely lady and a beautiful soul! She lived a life of faith, courage and devotion to God and family. She was born on August 21, 1926, to Thomas Matthew Blundell and Mary Ethel Ross Blundell. Her father died when she was only 6 years old, leaving her cherished mother with 7 small children to raise during the time of the Great Depression. Times were very difficult, but she always said that she was blessed and she believed that God favored and protected her throughout her life. When she was only 16 years old, she met and fell head over heals in love with Odis Jenel Kimbrell, just as he was about to enter into the service of World War II. They were married on November 22, 1941, and worked hard together through 43 years of marriage. They were proud to tell you that they never spent more money than they made. She worked at Decker Packing for over 30 years and he worked for the City of Dallas, Texas. They had lots of fun with many friends and family throughout their life together. They always respected each other and their individual interests. Those left to cherish her memory are daughters, Linda Locke (Larry Locke, husband) and Shirley Adams (John Adams, deceased). Four grandchildren include Jay Mullins (Laura Mullins, Trisha Locke, Toby Lock (Casey Locke) and Chase Mullins (Cathy Mullins). Great-grandchildren include Logan Locke, Payton Locke, Max Locke-Floyd, Emily Theunissen (Zach), Ryan Mullins, Allison Mullins, Elizabeth Mullins, Andrew Mullins and Kelsie Curtis (Derrick); great- great-grandchildren include Ira Curtis, Karra Curtis and Adam James Theunissen. Beloved family friends, Mike Moniz and Erin Spencer. She is preceded by her parents; husband, Odis Kimbrell; six siblings; and Andrew Jackson and Lillie Mae Kimbrell, (known as Granny and Grandpa). Pallbearers will be Jay Mullins, Chase Mullins, Andrew Mullins, Ryan Mullins, Logan Locke, Ryan Watson, and Mike Moniz.
