Henry Cole West May 29, 2023 Henry Cole West, 61, of Trent, Texas passed away on Monday, May 29, 2023 at his home. Funeral Services was on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 1:00 PM at McCoy Chapel of Memories. Rickie Moore will be officiating the service. There was a visitation on Friday, June 2, 2023 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at McCoy Funeral Home. Henry was born on March 5, 1962 in El Paso, Texas. His family moved to Sweetwater in 1978, where he met and later married Rolinda Karen Funderburg on February 6, 1981. He eventually moved to Trent in 1992 where he settled and built himself a shop. Henry was a born mechanic and loved to work on vehicles. When he wasn't at his regular job, you could find him working in his shop at home until late in the evening. Henry loved to travel. He loved his wife, children, grandchildren, and extended family with his whole heart. Survivors are his wife, Rolinda Karen West; his son, Joseph Scott West and wife Kentara of Hawley; his two daughters, Natasha Ryan Cooper and husband John of Kyle and Amber Nicole Cortes and husband Martin of Abilene; a sister, Mary Helen Fuentes and her husband Romero of Westbrook; father-in-law Roland Funderburg of Abilene, brother-in-law, James Funderburg and wife Gina of Wink; and sister-in-law, Elaina Roxanne Valdez and husband Mario of Hawley; six grandchildren; six nieces; six nephews; nine great nephews; and three great nieces. Henry was preceded in death by his parents, Maria Socorro West and James Henry West as well as his sister, Nettie Tucker and his brothers, Albert Clifton West and James Edward West. In lieu of flowers or plants for Henry Cole West, the family is asking that a donation be made to the scholarship program for mechanics at Cisco Junior College (https://www.cisco.edu/giving) or TSTC (https://www.tstc.edu/give/).
