Vance Jeffrey Channel, known to friends and family as Jeff, passed away on May 25, 2023, in McAlester, OK, just one day after his 52nd birthday. Born on May 24, 1971, in Jacksonville, TX, Jeff was the beloved son of Terry Mack Channel and Vicki Juanita (Kuykendall) Channel. A celebration of Jeff's life will be held at a later date. Jeff is survived by his sisters, Terri Stone of McAlester, LeAnn Griffin and husband Jack of McAlester, and Robin Channel of Coalgate; stepfather Kevin Brown and wife Lisa of Hartshorne; stepson Lucas Cooley and wife Rose of McAlester; grandchildren Lily-Ann Cooke, Cali Cooke, and Sacious Cooley; nieces and nephews Chance, Chad, Danielle, Clayton, Greyson, and Allye; special friend Tracy Wilcox; and numerous aunts, uncles, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, life partner Patrice Wilson, and nephew Kristopher Channel.
