+ NOTE - Nellie was buried under her first marriage name. Nellie G. Erwin Jenkins Nellie G. Erwin Jenkins, 89, of Ontario, Ore., formerly of Nyssa, Ore... died Friday, Feb. 12, 1999, at an Ontario retirement center. Funeral services will be held at 2 Monday, Feb. 15, at the Nyssa Lienkaemper Chapel. Pastor Jim Anderson of the Nyssa United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will follow in the Parma, Idaho, Cemetery. Services are under direction of the Nyssa Lienkaemper Chapel. Nellie was born Aug. 16, 1909, at Guide Rock, Neb. She was one of 10 children born to Robert and Coral Hubbard Greenhalgh, Nellie was raised and educated in Nebraska. She married Oscar Erwin on Aug 30, 1928, at Guide Rock. They moved to northern Nebraska in 1934. In 1941 they moved to North Bend, Ore. In 1942 they moved to the Apple Valley area. Oscar died on Oct. 7, 1959. Nellie later married Bruce Jenkins on March 30, 1962; he died on June 22, 1981. She had continued to live in Nyssa until she decided to sell her home and move to a retirement center in Nampa. Due to ill health she moved to a retirement center in Ontario. She was a member of the Nyssa United Methodist Church, and the Rebekah Lodge. Nellie is survived by her three daughters and sons-in-law, Darlene and Harry Counsil of Broomfield, Colo., Dorothy and Leland Fox of Nampa, and Gloria and Royce Roberts of Nyssa, Ore., a stepson. Lynn Jenkins of Colorado Springs. Colo; a stepdaughter, Yvonne Nelson of Colorado Springs; a brother, Lloyd Greenhalgh of Blue Hill, Neb.; two sisters.
