Bio
Peggy Robinson Chandler, 85, of Eureka passed from this life on Tuesday afternoon May 16, 2023, at her home with her family by her side. She was born in Navarro County on March 26, 1938, to George and Opal Mahone Robinson. She graduated from Corsicana High School in 1956 and married Bill Chandler the same year, who she met while working in the cafe at the livestock sale barn in Corsicana. For 20 plus years Peggy worked at the First National Bank as a teller. After retirement from the bank, she worked with Bill at the ranch helping tend to the land and livestock. She was a member of the Eureka Methodist Church and had been active with the Eureka Cemetery Association for a number of years. Peggy is preceded in death by her parents, Brothers Bob Robinson and George Robinson, Son Bruce Wayne Chandler, Daughter LaNell Chandler, and her husband Bill Chandler. She is survived by her daughter Leisa Glick and husband Scotty. Grandchildren; Jerry Don Ware and wife Jennifer, Wade Youngblood and wife Josie, Jesse Martin and wife Kristin and Victoria Martin. Sister Shirley Robinson. Brother and sister-in-law James and Mary Robinson. Sister-in-law Wanda Robinson and a number of nieces, nephews and extended family members. Visitation with Peggy's family will be Thursday evening from 6-8pm at Griffin - Roughton Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at the Eureka Cemetery Pavillion on Friday, May 19, 2023, at 1:00pm. Serving as pallbearers will be Jerry Don Ware, Dayton Tanner, Kurt Knauth, David Bonner, James Bonner and Mark Thomas.
