Robert (Bob) Gaida, 77 passed away on Tuesday July 7, 2020 in Waxahachie Texas. Bob was born on May 31, 1943 in Dallas, Texas to Robert Anthony and Christine Emily Gaida. Bob served in the United States Navy for four years. He also served on the Hamilton Volunteer Fire Department, and loved and supported the law enforcement. He retired from the Hamilton County Electric Cooperative after nearly 40 years. Bob's best friend was James Lively and they shared many memories. Bob was more than a dad because he actually chose to love and raise Deltha's children when he did not have to. Bob is preceeded in death by his parents, Robert and Christine, and wife Deltha. He is survived by step-daughters; Debbie Wall Smith of Hamilton and Terry Garza and husband Jon of Midlothian; step-son, Kelly Johnson and wife Nancy of Midlothian. Bob also leaves behind step grandchildren Audree Johnson, Zach Eddleman, Jason Wall and wife Kym, Josh Wall and wife Jackie, nephew Johnny and niece Tammy. Visitation will be Tuesday July 14, 2020 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM with Funeral Service beginning at 1:00 PM at Riley Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Riley Funeral Home
