Thomas Evans officiating. Mrs. Stone had been ill for many year suffering extremely but never complaining. In his remarks at the funeral, Rev. Evans spoke feelingly of the deeply religious nature of the deceased and told of her great work in reading the bible, which was always by her side and many of the Psalms she had committed to memory. With the family she moved from New York to Newburg Michigan and lived there for a number of years. She always had a desire to go west and finally made up her mind to come alone to Central City, Merrick county, Nebraska and from there to Myrtle township in Custer County, then to Valley county, where she lived until her death. She was married to Mr. Thomas Stone on August 22nd 1885. Beside her husband, she is survived by two brothers, one living in Michigan and the other in New York and one sister living in Michigan. The remains were laid to rest in the family lot in Round Park cemetery. (Contributed by: Starlight - [email protected] )
