Funeral services for Stanley Srb, 67, 3245 Jones St., will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Nelson-Berger Northside Funeral Home. The Rev. Wade H. Coons of Augustana Lutheran Church will officiate and burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be (redacted). Honorary pallbearers will be (redacted). Mr. Srb, a longtime railway conductor for the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railway, died unexpectedly Monday at a depot in Laurel, Neb, Dr. R. P. Carroll, attending physician, attributed death to a "coronary occlusion." Mr. Srb was enroute from Sioux City to O'Neill, Neb. The train stopped at Laurel about 1 p.m. Mr. Srb began working for the CB&Q Railway in 1915 at Schuyler, Neb., and received a 50-year service award from the same line in April, 1966. He began working from Sioux City in 1921. He was born March 29, 1899, at Howells, Neb. He married Edith T. Johnson Dec. 21, 1931, at Sioux City. He was a member of Augustana Lutheran Church, the Brotherhood of Railroad Conductors and Brakemen, Acacia Lodge 34, AF&AM at Schuyler; Sioux City Scottish Rite bodies; and Abu Bekr Shrine Temple. Survivors include the widow; a daughter, Miss Jo Ann Srb at home; two brothers, Rudolf of Lincoln, Neb., and Jerry of Schuyler; and a sister, Mrs. Godfrey Machal of Schuyler.
