Bio

Sandra K. Hunt Gadway, age 75 of Dry Prong, Louisiana entered eternal rest on Sunday, April 16, 2023. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at Big Creek Cemetery in Pollock, Louisiana with her grandson, Pastor Josh Engen officiating. Sandra is preceded in death by her parents, Henry W. Hunt and Leola White Hunt; and sisters, Mary L. Burge, Carol L. Rosier, Shirley I. Salazar and Nellie Hunt. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 58 years, Harold J. Gadway; sister, Betty R. Foster; brothers, James L. Hunt and Jack Hunt; two children, Joseph W. Gadway and Prudence A. Gadway Engen; grandchildren, Josh C. Engen, Austin L. Engen, Dalton Gadway, Bryce Gadway and Katelyn Engen Eyre; and 7 great grandchildren. Sandra was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother. For many years, she enjoyed displaying her creativity through wood working, sewing, and crafts. She was an avid reader. Her and her husband spent many days tending to their gardens and sharing the fruit of their labor with others. She also enjoyed cooking Sunday dinners for her family when she was able and organizing family get togethers. She loved her family and will be missed by all.
