Bio

Mrs. Addie Broom, 89, died Friday morning in an Athens nursing home. She had lived most of her life in this area and was a graduate of North Texas State Teachers College. She was the wife of John B. Broom who proceded her in death in 1934. She was a member of Eastern Star. Survivors include three nieces, Mrs. Celeste Harris of Athens, Mrs Lela Ed Fannin of Dallas, Miss Gladys Davis of Chandler,two nephews, Major David of Chandler, and Moral Harris of Athens, three great-nephews, Keith Davis, Larry Davis and Joe Ed West; one great-niece, Ann Gary of Athens.
