Bio

Son of Richard and Margaret Nicol Lyons. He graduated from schools in Seattle and attended college in Seattle and Tulsa, OK. He married Willie Mae Survick on March 1944 in Oklahoma City, OK In 1956 they moved to Sherman. He served four years during World War II in the U.S. Air Force. He worked for civil service and after retiring he worked for the Sherman Independent School District. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church where he was an organist and lay minister of Holy Eucharist. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Jimmy Lyons. He leaves his wife of 45 years, Willie Mae of the home; son, Robert A Lyons, Jr. of Carrolton, TX; daughters, Margaret Lyons Jackson of Sherman, and Patricia Lyons Heck of San Antonio, TX; sister, Margaret Will of Seattle; and eight grandchildren.
