Bernice Lichnovsky, 80, of West, passed away Thursday, March 6, 2008, in Waco. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Monday, at St. Mary's Cemetery near West, with Msgr. Isidore Rozycki officiating. The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, at Aderhold Funeral Home. Bernice was born near West, Texas, to the late Ignatius and Anastasia "Annie" (Sulak) Hutyra. She attended the old Alligator Creek school near West. In 1954, she was united in marriage to Ernest D. Lichnovsky, Sr. Bernice was a housewife and homemaker. She also worked for the Horn Mop Company in West. She enjoyed watching sports, especially the Texas Longhorns and Dallas Cowboys. She also enjoyed cooking, gardening and especially loved taking care of her sons. Bernice was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption. She was preceded in death by her husband on December 12, 1975; brothers, Patrick Hutyra and Walter Hutyra; and sisters, Bridgette Wrbas and Angela Kelinske. Survivors include sons, Ernest Lichnovsky, Jr., Gary Lichnovsky, Dwain Lichnovsky and Mark Lichnovsky, all of West; brother, Ignatius Hutyra, Jr. of Elm Mott; her twin sister, Benice Koen, and other sisters, Margie Cocek and Josephine Kocian, all of West and Evelyn Wilson, of Murietta, Calif.; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives; and many friends.
