Patrick P. Hutyra, 77, of Hillsboro, passed away late Thursday evening, July 20, 2006, at his residence. A rosary will be recited 5 p.m. Sunday at the Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with visitation to follow until 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption, with the Rev. Vincent Chacko, I.M.S. as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Patrick was born in West, Texas, to the late Ignatius and Annie (Sulak) Hutyra. He attended schools at St. Mary's School, Alligator School, and Tokio School. He served his country with the United States Navy for four years and was assigned to patrol the waters and protect the Panama Canal. On January 9, 1954, he was united in marriage to Georgia Mae Hubik in Penelope. Patrick was a machinist and supervisor for Certain Teed in Hillsboro for over 27 years before retiring in 1989. Prior to that he worked for McConnell's Machine Shop in Italy for over 13 years, Tempco Industries in Grand Prairie, and Bethlehem Steel in Corsicana. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West, K.J.T. Society No. 31, and the R.V.O.S. Lodge. Patrick enjoyed traveling in the mountains, watching deer, repairing machines, making parts, and generally working with his hands. He also enjoyed the outdoors, yard work, and gardening. He loved family get-togethers. He was preceded in death by sisters, Angela Kelinske and Bridget Wrbas; and a brother, Walter Hutyra. Survivors include his beloved wife of 52 years, Georgia, of Hillsboro; daughters, Darlene Neill and her husband, Jimmy, of Abbott, and Cynthia Hudson and her husband, Kelly, of Bedford; son, Patrick L. Hutyra, of Liberty City; grandchildren, Christopher Neill, David Neill, Nicholas Neill and wife, Carla, Stephanie Hutyra, Valerie Brooks and husband, Max, Rayne Gill and husband, Brandon, Lee Jones, Clay Hudson, and Tammy Hudson; great-grandchildren, Collin Neill, Garett Walls, and Trinity and Lily Brooks; brother Ignatius Hutyra, Jr. and his wife, Rosalie, of Elm Mott; sisters, Margaret Cocek, Bennie Koen and her husband, Lloyd, Bernice Lichnovsky, and Josephine Kocian, all of West, and Evelyn Wilson, of California; brothers-in-law, Otto Wrbas and Ervin Hubik; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
