Sonja R. Larson February 4, 1943 ~ December 3, 2020 Heaven got a little happier when Sonja Larson returned home on December 3, 2020. Sonja always said, "I was blessed from the moment I was born," on February 4, 1943, because she was the daughter of A. James Reed and Thelma Jones Reed. Sonja grew up in the little mining town of Lark, Utah, and attended Bingham Middle and Bingham High School until she moved partway through her junior year to attend Olympus High. Sonja frequently served in student government, was a talented, energetic dancer who was always proud to say she was a Bingham Minerette. Sonja chose to go to the University of Utah, where she captivated the heart of a young man named Charles Kent Larson. They were married on March 16, 1966, in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they had five children, and Sonja was an incredible mother. Sonja's devotion to her Father in Heaven was undeniable. She radiated light and cherished being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. While she held many callings, she loved serving among the youth the very most. A week before her death, someone asked Sonja what she had done for a living. While she was a first-grade teacher and worked at both Bingham and Riverton High School as a secretary, her matter of fact reply was how she lived her life, "I served." Her life was simply a sermon in action. Sonja is survived by her children Jennifer (Stephen) Davis, Kristine (David) Snow, Spencer Larson (Sonya Johnson), Carrie (Cameron) Johnson, Tiffany Allred, 13 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one brother, two sisters, and her son Bradley Charles Larson who has waited a long time for this joyous reunion. Thanks to Brittany Bouchard and Makell at Canyons Home Health and Hospice coming to our aid and caring so tenderly for our mom. A Special Thank You: During the last two years, our sister, Carrie, and brother-in-law, Cameron, moved in to care for our dad and mom. As siblings, we would like to thank them for the sacrifice, love, and devotion that they have shown to our parents. Love, Jenn, Kristine, and Spencer. Funeral Services are to be held (INVITATION ONLY DUE TO COVID RESTRICTIONS) at 11:00 AM Saturday, December 12, 2020, at Jenkins-Soffe on 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway.
