Bio

Jesse Rountree was born in Virginia between 1770-1780. He was already living in Madison Co, IL, on the 1820 census. He married Sarah C. Brown, perhaps in Barren Co, KY, and they had 11 children. They later lived in Greene Co, IL, and the cemetery was located on their land. It is now abandoned, but there are still tombstones to be found.
