PATRICIA ABELEEN BARD QUARLES of Pasadena TX, 94, passed away on January 16, 2023. Patricia was born in San Antonio, TX to Abel Erastus Bard and Alice Jewell Fox Bard. She was married to William E. Quarles, Jr in 1947. In June of 1964, they adopted Adam E. Quarles and in the late 1990s they were blessed with their "2nd son" M. Shane Walding. Patricia retired from Pasadena ISD in 1995 and became a docent at the Houston Museum of Fine Arts where she enjoyed volunteering and school field trip tours. She was an avid reader, gardener, animal lover, bird watcher and so much more. Pat is preceded in death by her parents Abel E Bard (1976) and Alice Jewell Fox Bard (1985); her sister Victoria Oltman (1978); husband, William E. Quarles (2002); son, Adam E. Quarles (2004); brother, Jack Bard (2012); nephew, Joel Hollis; sister, Barbara Hollis (2015) and her dearest friend, Mary Bamford Southwell (2002). he life of Patricia Quarles will be celebrated at a Memorial Service on February 18, 2023 at The River Church at 970 Dell Dale Ave in Channelview TX. Visitation will be at 10 am and services will begin at 11 am. A private graveside will be held at a later time.
