Bio
Jack Warren Bard was born March 14, 1923 to Abel and Alice Bard in Sioux City, Iowa. He passed away at Bayshore Hospital on Monday, May 7, 2012 losing his battle with pneumonia. Jack served in the Army and was honorably discharged on August 20, 1943. Jack pursued a career as an Artist and salesman. He is survived by wife, Martha, sisters, Barbara Hollis and Pat Qurles, numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by sister, Victoria Bard and his parents. Jack married "the love of his life" Martha following a 20 year courtship that started with Martha serving him a cup of coffee at the lunch counter in Abel's drug store. Interment; May 11, 2012. Holy Cross Cemetery, 3502 North Main, Houston, TX.
