Obituary published on Legacy.com by Myers Colonial Funeral Home from Jan. 27 to Jan. 28, 2023. Patricia Pearl Wilson Wagnon, 81, of DeRidder, LA, entered Heaven peacefully on Monday, January 23, 2023 at St. Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, LA. Patricia was born on March 16, 1941, in El Campo, TX to the late Woodrow and Lillian Wilson. She was married to her loving husband, Malvin E. Wagnon, Jr. on January 26, 1963 in El Campo, TX. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the joys of her life. Patricia was known for preparing meals and being the host with the most at Emory Wallace Retreat Center for 33 years with First Baptist Church of Deridder, LA. Patricia and Malvin were the # 1 supporters of the EBHS girls basketball team. Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of sixty years, Malvin Wagnon of DeRidder, LA; daughters, Debra Terrell and Wendell of DeRidder, LA, Cheri Wagnon and Amy of DeRidder, LA; sisters, Marie Wood and John, Diane Machlan and Ellsworth, Delores Norton, all of El Campo, TX; grandchildren, Harold "Trey" Pridgen, III, Brittany Rexrode, Nicole Bible; three great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow and Lillian Wilson; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Malvin, Sr. and Elizabeth Wagnon. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 27, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. A Celebration of Life service will be at 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 28, 2023, at Shiloh Baptist Church in DeRidder, LA. Buckie Nugent will be a speaker and Brother Bruce Butts will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Tim Cooley, Jeff Cooley, Damon Cooley, Brad Lewing, Brandon Lewing, J.R. Smith. Honorary Pallbearer will be James Bible. Burial will follow at Shiloh Cemetery in DeRidder, LA.
