Phyllis Elaine Adamek, age 90, passed away on January 12, 2023, in Brunswick, Ohio surrounded by her beloved family. Phyllis was born on September 15, 1932, in Arcadia, Nebraska to the late Merle B. and Mary L. (Hyatt) Moody. Phyllis married her beloved husband Frank Marvin Adamek soon after graduating from Arcadia High School in Arcadia, Nebraska. While she did hold numerous office administrative roles throughout her lifetime, her life's passion was her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law, Gramsy, GG, daughter, sister, and aunt who enjoyed spending time surrounded by her family. Each of her family members coveted one on one time with her because she wrapped everyone in a loving embrace with her hugs and words. Devout in her faith, Phyllis was a lifelong Christian and a member of the Disciples of Christ church. She is survived by her children, Mary Adamek Hale, Michael J. Adamek, Mitchell J. (Linda Ulrich) Adamek; grandchildren, William E. (Heidi M.) Hale III, Erik P. (Sara P.) Adamek, Lauren A. (Samuel A.) Cook, Kathryn M. Hale, Andrew S. Brouwer, Amelia B. Adamek, Thomas F. Hale, and Drew R. (Kimberly O.) Adamek; ten great-grandchildren and her sister Janice M. Nutter. Phyllis was preceded in death by both of her parents; her husband of 68 years, Frank M. Adamek, her brothers Elvin D. Moody, Robert L. Moody and Jerald D. Moody; and son in law, W. Edward Hale II. A Memorial Service celebrating Phyllis' life will be held at 11:00 am, on Friday, May 5, 2023, at Waite & Son Funeral Home, 765 N Court Street, Medina, Ohio 44256. An Interment Service will be held later that same day at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Phyllis' memory be made to Bella Care Hospice, Independence, Ohio or the Alzheimer's Association.
