Erdeal Weeks, age 93 of Winfield, passed away Sunday, March 23, 2014 in the DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa. Miss Weeks was born on February 17, 1921 in Marion Co. a daughter of William Columbus Weeks and Sarah Cornelia "Nealie" Beasley Weeks; lifelong resident of Winfield; graduate of Winfield City High School and UNA at Florence with a degree in Teaching; she was a Principal at Liberty Country School and then transferred to Winfield City Schools where she retired with over 30 years of service; and she was a member of Winfield First Free Will Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Pauline Weeks and Lorene Aldridge; two brothers, Ozell and Billy J. Weeks; one nephew, Larry Aldridge; and two nieces, Bebe Spann and Mary Cheek. Funeral service will be Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at 1:00 PM from the McGraw Memorial Chapel of Miles Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery with Miles Funeral Home of Winfield directing. Visitation will be Wednesday one hour prior to service.
