Bio

Joseph J. Maliha, 94, funeral will be held Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic church at Leigh with burial in the parish cemetery. He died Saturday at Clarkson. He was born September 28, 1896 on a farm 4 miles south of Clarkson to Andrew and Mary (Minarik) Maliha. He was married on April 6, 1920 to Mary Horejsi at Schuyler. He farmed in the Clarkson area until 1951 when they moved to a farm west of Leigh. They moved in Leigh in 1984. He was a resident of a home in Clarkson for about a year. He was survived by his wife, 1 son Joe both at Leigh, 2 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 2 sisters: Emma Cushatt at Brighton, Colorado; Agnes Jedlicka at Schuyler.
