Bio

Mrs. Minnie (Fowler) Bynum, 91, a longtime resident of the Hubbard area, passed away Monday, January 16, 2023 at a Hillsboro hospital. Private memorial graveside services will be held at a later date at Cottonwood Cemetery near Hubbard, Texas. Minnie was born May 17, 1931 in Rosser, Texas (Kaufman County) to Hugh and Sudie (De Masters) Fowler. She met the love of her life, Gene Bynum and was united in marriage on March 1, 1953. Minnie was of Baptist faith, a loving mother and devoted wife. Minnie took great pride in her family and considered it one of her greatest accomplishments. Minnie was preceded in death by her husband of over 60 years, Gene Bynum in 2013 and by several siblings. Survivors include three children, Debra Bynum Shelby, Marty Gene Bynum and Lisa Bynum Roberts and husband, Rusty, all of Hubbard; brother, Frank Fowler of Colona, Illinois; two sisters, Joanne Peridore and Judy Jenkins, both of Sikeston, Missouri; five grandchildren, Roxanne Williams of Franklin, Tennessee, Brandi Taylor and husband, J.T. of Waco, Caprice Wade and husband, Blake of Celina, Ronnie Shelby of Hubbard and Eric Roberts and wife, Samantha of Wichita, Kansas; five great-grandchildren, Logan Williams and wife, Brook of Franklin, Tennessee, Carson Williams of Franklin, Tennessee, Ryan Wade, Grayson Wade and Grant Wade of Celina; one great-great grandchild, Hudson Williams of Franklin, Tennessee as well as numerous nieces and nephews and other extended family members.
