Bio

Moved his family from Fish Creek,Georgia to Mississippi after 1920. May have followed his brother Crawford Garner to Mississippi in the early 1920's. His family called him Luke. According to daughter Velma, Luke was 1/4 Indian from the black tribe, or possibly Cherokee. This has not yet been proven. She stated that he held a law enforcement position of Deputy Sheriff in Georgia.
