Bio

Marshall P. Ervin is the son of James Ervin, born in Mississippi, and Elizeh DeWault. Mr. Ervin died at home in Shelbyville about 5 p.m. on September 29, 1916, of heart failure, after a lengthy illness. Funeral services, at Holly Springs Cemetery, were conducted by the Masonic organization of which he was a member. Mr. Ervin had lived in Shelbyville all his life, and was survived by a wife and several children.
