In the 1930 census Polly was living with her widowed mother who was a teaching school in Shelbyville, Texas. Texas, County Marriage Records confirm that Annie Maude Ervin became the bride of William M Bills on 23 Dec 1939 in Smith Co., Texas. The 1940 Census revealed that Polly and Bill were living in Laurel, Jones Co., Mississippi. Polly had completed 1st year of College,and had secured a job at an oil company as a Stenographer. Bill was a Civil Engineer for an oil company.
