Linda L. Williams SPRINGFIELD - Linda L. Williams, 71, a resident of Springfield for most of her life, died at 5:50 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2008, at Regency Nursing Care Residence. She was born June 10, 1936, in Jacksonville, the daughter of Oliver Daniel and Hattie Izora Daniels Lewis. She married Robert A. Williams on Dec. 21, 1953; he preceded her in death on May 25, 2007. Her parents; daughter, Pamela Hammann; and five brothers and sisters also preceded her in death. She co-owned Robert A. Williams Construction Co. with her husband. Surviving are her daughter, Traci L. Williams (companion, Robert Rockford) of Chatham; two sons, Daniel L. (wife, Yvonna J.) Williams of Petersburg and Robert A. Williams Jr. of Springfield; nine grandchildren, Stephen, Joseph, Andrew, Jacob, Nick, Christina, Cortni, Robert III and Nicholas; four great-grandchildren, Alexis, Hunter, Kendyl and Adelle; two sisters, Martha (husband, Jack) Nally of Springfield and Dorothy Wilson of Jacksonville; brother, Paul (wife, Shirley) Lewis of Washington State; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, 2008, at Staab Funeral Home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, 2008, at Staab Funeral Home, with Vaughn Beeman officiating.
