Aulina Cooley Bellando of Maumelle, Ark., passed away Oct. 25, 2018. She was born Oct. 12, 1929, in DeRidder, LA., to JB & Ermel Cooley. Aulina's father was the Fire Chief in DeRidder, LA., and the family lived above the fire station at City Hall. Aulina married James Bellando in 1953 and moved to his hometown of Warren, Ohio, where they lived until 1969. Aulina and Jim started and owned many small businesses. After moving back to DeRidder, Aulina was a secretary at First Baptist Church, then was the first female Equifax agent, at age 50 she began selling insurance and ran the Glenn Dean Ins. Agency in DeQuincy, LA., operated a Sears catalog store, and then a furniture store, The Furniture Cottage. After retiring, she moved to Maumelle, Ark., in 2010, to be close to family. She had a steadfast love of God and family. Her love of God was primary in her life and guided everything else, including her values and and the values she passed to her children and grandchildren. Aulina is preceded in death by her parents, and son James "Jimmy" Robert Bellando. Aulina is survived by her children Betty Jayne Hilton (Robert E., Jr.), John David (Deborah), and William JB (Julia), and grandchildren Caleb J., Sarah J., Jacob D., Laurel J., John M., and Robert JB Bellando, and brother Jimmy Earl Cooley (Carolyn). Visitation: 12:30 pm Sat., Nov. 3, 2018, at First Baptist Church, 100 Valencia Dr., Maumelle, Ark. 72113, followed by the funeral at 2 pm, officiated by Bro. Paul McClung. Interment will follow at Riverwood Memorial Gardens, 301 Carnahan Dr., Maumelle, Ark. 72113. Arrangements by Roller Funeral Home, 13701 Chenal Pkwy., Little Rock, Ark. 72211. Tel. 501-225-0818.
