Bio

E. H. (Pappy) Fitch, 49, of 924 22nd Ave. N, Texas City, died at his residence at 4:15 a.m. today following a heart attack. Funeral arrangements are pending at the Emken Linton Funeral Home in Texas City where friends may call after 5 p.m. today. Mr. Fitch was an enginer with Monsanto Chemical Co. He bad been a resident of Texas City since 1941. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Texas City and had been active in community and civic affairs. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Howard Meredith Jr. of Norman, Okla. and Mrs. David Evans of Austin; three brothers, J. B. Fitch of Texas City and N. D. Fitch and Otis Fitch, both of Houston; two sisters; and a grandchild. Galveston Daily News October 12, 1965
