Bio

Vernon Leo Robison, 84, of Rockdale for the past 50 years, passed away on Friday, November 4, 2022 in Temple. A Graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, November 7, 2022 in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Rockdale with Pastor Luther Shelander officiating. Vernon was born on September 10, 1938 to George and Mary (Tucker) Robison in DeKalb, Texas. On June 12, 1972, he married Ruby Lindsed in Dallas. He proudly served in the United States Navy. He worked in the pot line at ALCOA for many years before his retirement in 2001. He was a member of Mt Zion Baptist Church in Minerva. He is preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Lindsed Robinson; daughter, Brady Robison; stepdaughter, Lisa Hammond; brothers, Richard Robison, Orby Robison, and Curtis Robison; and sisters, Wanda Robison, and Betty Robison. Vernon is survived his daughter, Deborah Johnson of Dallas; grandchildren, Alayna and husband Diego, and Thomas; great granddaughter Emma; son Darrell Robison of Cameron; sister, Patsy Robison; and stepdaughters, Suzanne Matula of Austin, and Patricia Ann Lodowski of Brent Wood, TN.
