Anton was the son of Terezie (Kaspar) Mikulencak and the adopted son of Josef Mikulencak. He took on the last name Mikulencak and married Marie Rosipal and had three children: Joseph Frank, Edward Anton and Martha Theresa Mikulencak. He was a blacksmith by trade.
