Suzanne "Sue" Ledbetter Cook Valenta February 24, 1933 ~ October 25, 2022 Sue Valenta, 89, passed away October 25, 2022 in Flower Mound, Texas. She was a long-time resident of Irving, Texas since 1964. She was born February 24, 1933 in Waco, Texas to parents, William Lawrence "Buster" Ledbetter and Harriet Dent "Hattie" Moore Ledbetter. She graduated from Waco High School in 1950 and then went on to attend Texas Tech University graduating in 1954. She was a retired elementary school teacher having taught the last 16 years in Irving, Texas before her retirement in 1990 altogether working 27 years as a teacher. She was a faithful and active member of Plymouth Park Baptist Church in Irving, Texas. She was also a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority at Texas Tech where she served as president, a former member of Alpha Delta Kappa, (Teachers Sorority); Texas State Teachers Association; Association of Texas Professional Teachers, active in Irving Retired Teachers, Irving Book Club and a life membership from W.T. Hanes Elementary P.T.A. Survived by her son, James Eagan, daughters, Suzanne Schramm, Sally Davis, grand children, great granddaughter, several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Funeral service will be held October 28, 2022. Immediately following the funeral service a graveside will be held at the Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving, Texas...BRFH
