The funeral mass for Mahala (Halie) Rose Maurer will be at Shepherd of the Valley Catholic Church in Central Point OR at 10:00 AM on November 3, 2022. The Holy Rosary will be preceding the mass and begin at 9:15 am. Fr. Theodore Lange will officiate. Interment will follow at the Veterans Administration National Cemetery, Eagle Point, OR at 2:00 P.M. Mrs. Maurer, 98, of Prospect, OR died Saturday, October 22, 2022, at Weatherly Inn in Medford, OR. Halie was born in Hugo, CO on June 25, 1924, and married the love of her life Raymond Maurer on October 9, 1946. They lived in Prospect where she worked in the Office of Personnel Management for the U.S.D.A Forest Service. She volunteered in many organizations and was an organist for Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church for over 40 years. Halie is preceded in death by her husband Raymond and son Andy. Surviving family includes 6 children Andy's wife Jeannie, Michael (Kim), Richard (Susan), Kenneth (Diana), Ronald (Mary), Loretta (Steve), and 60 grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Friends and family may pay their respects on Wednesday, November 2 from 3:00 - 7:00 PM at Conger-Morris in Central Point, OR. Memorial contributions may be made to Prospect Volunteer Ambulance, Prospect Lioness, or Prospect Historical Society. Source: Conger-Morris Funeral Home
