Bio
Emma moved with her parents to the Kansas Territory when she was very young. When she was 16, she married Paul Eberhart, a Civil War veteran who was nearly twice her age. They first lived on a farm west of Vinland, Kansas. In March 1885, they moved into the town of Vinland and operated a grocery and hotel. In the spring of 1892, they moved to Lawrence and lived many years at 911 Alabama Street. Paul and Emma moved to California where he died. After Paul's death, Emma returned to Lawrence and lived another 30 years with her daughter and son-in-law, Kitty and Bert Dale at 911 Alabama Street. Emma died at the age of 93.
