Bio
Vada Lou Baldwin was born in Monmouth, Illinois on July 11th, 1939 to Arnold and Myra Payne. She passed away on December 20th, 2017 in Athens, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents Arnold and Myra Payne, her husband Dave Baldwin, her daughter-in-law Nikki Baldwin, her brothers John and Charles Payne, and her brother-in-law Roger Henry. Those left to cherish her memories are her sisters Mary Ann Payne and Jerry Henry. Her brothers Ronald Payne, and Donald (Mary) Payne. Her five children Glenn Pettett, Mike Pettett, Rod Pettett, John (Karla) Pettett, and Brian (Melanie) Baldwin. Her seven grandchildren are Josh McKibbin, Sara (Chris) Ebert, Allen Pettett, Jessica Pettett, Emily Baldwin, John Baldwin, and Kara Pettett. Her eight great grandchildren Bradley, Michelle, Aunna, Kayne, Timothy, William, Aiden, Edward, and one great great grandchild Riley Vada Elaine Sheehan. Vada loved to go yard selling with her best friend Janice Brown. She also loved coffee and Coca-Cola. She loved collecting snowmen and being with her family and friends. She really loved her dog, Cowboy, as she called him her baby boy. After 25 years of working at ETMC in Athens, Texas, as a P.T. Tech, Vada enjoyed every moment of it and also worked with her good friend Clay. Vada was a member of the First Methodist Church of Athens, Texas. There will be a celebration of life held for Vada at a later date.
