Bio

Earl Whitfield passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, Wednesday, October 5th, 2022. Earl was born September 12th, 1932 to L.L. Whitfield and Myrtle (Mosely) Whitfield in Indianola, Oklahoma. Earl was a hard working man who loved a good beer. Earl spent 33 years as the Executive Director at the United States Department of Agriculture – Agriculture Stabilization Conservation Services. He retired with the USDA in 1987. When not working you could find Earl tinkering around on the family farm, tending to his bees, as he was a bee keeper too, or traveling with family. But more than anything, Earl loved spending time with his family and friends. Left to cherish Earl's memory are his children, Brad Whitfield, Tara Chambers, Ted Freeman, Cindy Whitfield, Laura Ayers, and Len Whitfield, his sisters, Jeanie McHaney, Gwenda Bain, and Linda Rodriguez, and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and friends. Earl is preceded in death by his wife and love of his life, Kathy Whitfield, his son, Raymond Whitfield, his parents, L.L. Whitfield and Myrtle Whitfield, his brothers, Bobby Whitfield, David Whitfield, and Troy Whitfield, and his sister, Betty Van Allen.
