' Ruby Nell (Settle) Derryberry was born on September 7, 1907 in Gallatin, Sumner County, Tennessee, the daughter of John William Settle (1864–1927) and Mary Elizabeth "Mollie" (Brezidine) Settle (1869–1936). She was married on May 7, 1944 at the Settle home on Bledsoe Street in Gallatin to Jack Westmoreland Derryberry (1911–1989) of Nashville., and he was the son of Thomas Jefferson Derryberry (161–1954) and his wife Lizzie Birdie (Westmoreland) Derryberry (1869–1968). Living in Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee, Ruby was 69 years old and married when she passed away at home on September 12, 1976. Survivors included her husband, sons Jack W DerryBerry jr and Reverend David Eugene Derryberry, sister Mrs Hollis E Johnson and daughter-in-law Mrs Virginia Derryberry. Funeral Services were held on September 14th at Woodmont Christian Church, and burial was in Woodlawn Memorial Park, Nashville. Original obituary in THE TENNESSEAN on September 14, 1976
