Joyce Mask August 1, 1941 - September 22, 2022 McWhorter Funeral Home Funeral services for Joyce Mask, 81, of Gilmer, are scheduled for 2:00 pm, Monday, September 26, 2022, at McWhorter Funeral Home with Brother Randal Hodges officiating. Interment to follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held at 1:00 pm prior to the service. Joyce was born August 1, 1941, in Gilmer, Texas to Jewell William and Thelma Rosalie Despain Gosdin and passed from this life September 22, 2022, in Gladewater, Texas. Joyce worked at Gilmer National Bank, for 39 years, retiring as a vice-president. During her time at the bank, she enjoyed her bank family and made many friendships with customers throughout the years. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Vicki Griffith; sons, Mark Mask (Ann), and Chad Mask; sisters, Shirley Rutledge, and Carolyn Dortch; grandchildren, Chelsie King (Mark), Dean Griffith, Rhianna Bolden (Lonnie), and Jackson Mask; great-grandchildren, Kadon Harris, Madison King, Presley King, and Maddox King. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Maurice Gosdin, John Gosdin, Calvin Gosdin, and James Gosdin; and sister, Jean Arrington. The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Legend Oaks Rehab Center, and to Kayla White for her unwavering devotion to their mother's care.
