James Wesley Gosdin, 82, of Prairie Grove, died Monday, December 31, 2018. He was born June 13, 1936 in Gilmer, Texas to Jewel William and Thelma R. (DeSpain) Gosdin. He is survived by five children, Joel Wayne Gosdin of Santa Fe, New Mexico, Perry Don Gosdin of Ft. Worth, Texas, Jayme Kay Petrie of Burleson, Texas, Troy Enochs and wife Debbie of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Eric Jefferies and wife Melleni of Ft Worth, Texas; one brother, Calvin Ray Gosdin and wife Mary of Sulphur Springs, Texas; three sisters, Joyce Mask of Gladewater, Texas, Shirley Rutledge and husband Terry of Saginaw, Texas, Carolyn Dortch and husband Jack of Colleyville, Texas; and several grandchildren including Amber Napier and husband Chris of Prairie Grove. He was preceded in death by his wife, Johnnie Triplet; a step-daughter, Tami Roberts; two brothers, William Maurice Gosdin and John Harlon Gosdin; and a sister, Anniemae Geraldine “Jean” Arrington. A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, January 5, at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel.
