Bio
Mary Lou Reeves Parham, 92, went into the arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, September 17, 2020 at her residence. Mary Lou was the daughter of the late Burnett and Noty Woody Reeves of Madison County. She was preceded in death by her husband of almost 70 years, Clenon Parham, her son, Kevin Parham, brothers, Wayne Reeves, Woody Reeves, H.B. Reeves and Burton Reeves. She is survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Mary Lou resided in Buncombe County since 1950. She was an excellent cook and shared her recipes and talent with anyone willing to learn or eat. She was a long time member of Turkey Creek Baptist Church, Leicester. Words used by those who knew her to describe her include: humble, loving, patient, gentle, forgiving, elegant, pleasant, kind, virtuous, Godly woman, giving, sweet, admirable, and a living example of her belief in God. The graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at Turkey Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, 2206 Bear Creek Creek Road, Leicester, with the Rev. Ray Hipps officiating. The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to the caregivers who have faithfully and lovingly been by her side, felt her love, and filled her life with love for the past few years.
