Bio

Louis B. Doerr,Jr., age 93, of Louisville, Kentucky returned to his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, September 13, 2022. Louis was born in Louisville, Kentucky on August 9, 1929, to the late Louis B. Doerr, Sr. and Paulene Wolf Doerr. He was a member of Unity Baptist Church and a member of Local 89. He is preceded in death by his wife, Dallas E. Doerr and his parents. Louis leaves to cherish his memory his step-son, Rodney Ferguson; nieces, Betty Martin, Sharon Whartenby and Beverly Petry; nephews Rusty Huffman, Rodney Huffman, Billy Owens and Bobby Owens; and a host of other family and friends. Funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Monday, September 19, 2022, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial in Penn Run Cemetery. Friends and Family may pay their respects on Monday from 11 am until time of service at the funeral home.
