Bio

Karen Faye Hart, age 68, of Pink, OK passed away on Thursday, September 8 2022 in Oklahoma City. She was born May 4th, 1954 in Enid, OK as an only child to Frankie and Helen (Selmat) Sindelar. Karen grew up on the family farm north of Medford. She attended elementary school in Renfro and graduated from Medford High School in 1972. She married John Phillip Hart on December 29th, 1973 in Medford, OK. They lived in Mustang, OK for 44 years, and then moved to Pink, OK in 2018. She worked 9 years at Mustang North Middle School as a secretary and 18 years at Phycon in Oklahoma City, where she retired in 2018. Karen was 100% Czech. She was proud of her heritage and attended numerous Czech dances, festivals, and events. She traveled to Czech Republic in 2019 to experience her Czech heritage. 4-H was an important organization to her as a child and adult. She earned a 4 H trip to Washington D.C. and Chicago as a 4-H member. She was a 4-H leader in Mustang, OK. Traveling was one of her favorite hobbies. She really enjoyed traveling, sightseeing, and spending time with Phillip, children, and grandchildren. She traveled to Amsterdam, Caribbean Islands, Mexico, Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, New England and many other places in the US. She never missed the opportunity to support and cheer on her children and then later her grandchildren's sporting events and activities. Her voice always stood out in the crowd. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frankie and Helen Sindelar. She is survived by her husband, John Phillip Hart of the home son, Travis Hart and Debbie Strickland of Norman, daughter, Kari and husband Brad Nunneley of Bethel Acres, grandchildren, Jaicee Hart, Brayden Hart, Kylie Nunneley and Barrett Nunneley. As well as numerous brother in laws, sister in laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
